m1150: Sewing 101 Full!

Come join the sewing circle! Students can choose whether they want to learn how to repair holes, sew buttons and snaps, add pockets, or create patterns and images with embroidery. All experience levels are welcome. Materials will be provided, but students are also welcome to bring their own!

S1154: Exploring Genetics: Extracting DNA From Strawberries

In this course, we will learn more about what DNA is and how it carries genetic information. We will be working on a hands on project where we will be able to find and extract the DNA of strawberries.

In my class, I'll teach students the importance of being mindful about what possessions they choose to keep, and tips for how to discard what they do not. This will be done with a lens of self reflection, and keeping items that align with the person they want to be, without regard for expectations of others. Students can design their dream rooms, make lists of their favorite objects, and discuss any and all things decluttering!
