S557: CSI (Crime Scene Investigation): Splash in Splash Fall 2015 (Nov. 15, 2015)
Come learn about Forensic Science and solve a crime! Be part of a Crime Scene Investigation unit at Clark! Forensic science is the field of science applied to the field of law. We will learn the procedures for collecting, preserving, and analyzing scientific evidence (e.g. fingerprints, found documents, fibers, ballistics, etc.). We will also go over past crimes and see what forensic evidence gave the perpetrator away. At the second half of the class, you will use your new skills to try to solve a mock crime scene!

H461: Myth VS Fact: Popular Myths Debunked by Psychology in Splash Spring 2015 (Apr. 25, 2015)
Do opposites attract? Are people either left-brained or right-brained? Do we only use 10% of our brains? Can subliminal messages persuade people? Does hypnosis work? We will look at examples of psychology myths from movies and popular media. In this class, we will evaluate and "debunk" these myths and more! As one of the most popular and highly rated classes of SPLASH, This class is very INTERACTIVE: students split into teams, perform class activities, play games, and get rewarded if their teams win!
