When we recycle, most of it goes into the landfill. To solve the problem of recycling, we will be doing an up-cycle challenge. In 2 hours create the most awesome thing you can think of using waste that would have been recycled. Create candy wrapper backpacks, bottle mosaics, a flower pot, a fashionable dress out of newspaper, or perhaps a night light made out of those mini Chinese umbrellas. Think big, get artsy, and help solve a big problem such as our wasteful society!

X423: Fortune telling, how is it done? in Splash Spring 2015 (Apr. 25, 2015)
We have all heard of fortune tellers with crystal balls, but how much is based in fact and how much is fiction? In this class we will be using more than just crystals, as real fortune tellers use many tools. We will use mirrors, crystal balls, water, ink, tarots, runes, and possibly a plant or tree. In this class, we will learn how to see images in these mediums and decide for ourselves what parts of divination and fortune telling are real or not. By doing this, we can all gain better connections to our imaginations and perhaps to the supernatural.
H424: Debunking myths surrounding mental illness in Splash Spring 2015 (Apr. 25, 2015)
Most mentally ill people lead normal lives with modern medicine. Nonetheless stigma and negative associations are commonplace. In this class we will learn the stereotypes and why they are false and why those with a mental illness should be treated fairly.
A314: Owls for Friends in Need in Splash Fall 2014 (Nov. 16, 2014)
Ever wanted to cheer someone up with a stuffed animal? Well, now you can and it will be made by hand with care in every stitch. We will be sewing owl beanie babies for someone in need as well as making a card to go with it. If you have someone who wants to be cheered up with friendship, you can give the owl to that person. If you would like to donate, I can also send the owls to children in a nearby hospital. When you are done with your gift you can make one for yourself or take the instructions home with the knowledge of how to make an owl. No sewing experience is required, I will teach anyone who wants to learn how to sew. This is a project made entirely with hand sewing.
X273: Rainbow dash cupcakes with rainbow girl in Splash Spring 2014 (Apr. 13, 2014)
We will be making RAINBOW CUPCAKES!!!! Yes, they will be 100% rainbow on the inside with rainbow cream cheese frosting and sprinkles. While they bake we will learn about the importance of rainbows and of course-watch an episode of my little pony! Making rainbow baked goods is a good skill to impress your fellow bronys! And who better to teach it than the girl with rainbow hair? Rainbows all around!!!
A298: Renewable Fashion in Splash Spring 2014 (Apr. 13, 2014)
Take anything from our piles of clothes and turn it into a skirt, a bathing suit, a backpack, and really anything your heart desires. I even can give you instructions on how to make a wedding dress out of 7 t-shirts for that zombie bride costume you have been waiting to make. Anything. Two hours. The creativity is yours! Plus, you can keep whatever you make!
