A734: Paths to Poetry in Splash Fall 2016 (Nov. 13, 2016)
An interactive, high-energy course about the many mediums of poetry and how many forms it can take. We will explore rap, slam and free-verse, as well as, any themes and methods students want to learn more about. Students will be given the chance to write their own work.


H530: Words as Weapons- Slam Poetry and Creative Writing for World Change in Splash Fall 2015 (Nov. 15, 2015)
One poem can change the world! In this fun and creative class we will explore how the words we use everyday can be made into art. Slam poetry is a free poetry style that allows anyone to make themselves heard, have fun and even start a movement. We will learn about current social issues and language tools. Then, we will combine them to create awesome poems that can be used as weapons for change! All you need is paper and pencil!
