In this one hour course students will learn a general overview of concepts in stream ecology. This will include the river continuum concept, food web concept, a brief introduction to the different stream insects and an overview of the use of stream macroinvertebrates to analyze water quality. If time and facilities allow this will include hands on investigation with microscopes.
